Elfish

The ancient language of elves. It is usually written in hieroglyphs and also uses strange sounds and grammar. The only languages derived from ancient elvish that's left on Bocklynn are the two dwarven languages and the newer elven languages.

Writing System

The elvish language is expressed in hieroglyphs.

Geographical Distribution

Originally Lyemyr, but later on also several colonies on Eastern Bocklynn. After elven extinction the Northern dwarves still kept a close dialect alive that only slowly evolved into its own language whilst the southern ones already spoke a heavily altered version of elfish at the time.

Syntax

  • In elvish, the verb is placed at the start of the sentence (e.g.: Eats Thame a_sweet_roll)
