Zephyra (a.k.a. Yra)

Raised by her parents and watched over by her two elder brothers - Zephyra lives a sheltered life. Too sheltered even - when asking her.
While her familie serves Apollo in their hometown of Delphi, Zephyra has found old texts speaking of Nyx - the first of all creation - and started worshiping her in stead.
Clad in black robes, many people raised their eyebrows at Zephyra but she would never hear a bad word - her brothers made sure of it.
Considered the black sheep of the family by outsiders, she lives a life in solitude. Strengthened by her connection to Nyx, she likes to spend her nights sneaking out to explore nature, reading constellations or studying texts about gods and languages.
With her Father and one of her brothers now off to war, she can´t shake the feeling that the world has more in store for her.

General Physical Condition

Zephira doesn't look like she could hold herself up in a fist - or sword fight for that matter. However with all the wandering about she is able to maintain a fit physique.

Special abilities

She is very observant. Almost nothing escapes her perception. Better be careful when talking secrets while she is around, she might just be able to read yor lips.

She never takes off her moonstone necklace - people even saw her tinkering with it. She always wears black robes.

Although Zephyra is attracted to men, she does not feel the need to have an active sex life. If it is because she could not form a meaningful connection with the opposite sex or because she doesnt like sex alltogether she does not know yet.

Education

She obtained a basic education by Hiereiai of Apollo in Delphi, her Parents intended for her to become a Hiereiai of sorts herself. She however, wanted to learn about the nightsky - reading constellations - connecting to nature and Nyx. That is why she started questioning her teachers and finally skipped lessons alltogether. With her newfound freedom she observed powers from her childhood returning. Powers she thought where only made-up by her younger self.

Contacts & Relations

Zephyra has no friends, only acquaintances. The people of Delphi do not understand her obsession with the stars and tend to avoid or even badmouth her. This helped her though, since it made her fathers continuous effort to marry her off futile.

Family Ties

Beeing the only daughter of Helen and Zeuxis and with two older brothers (Heraclius/ Hector) Zephyra was brought up lovingly, but very strict. The relationship with her Parents started to get foul when they discovered that Zephyra was skipping her lessons with the Hiereiai of Apollo. Before they could have a serious conversation about this however, her father and oldest brother (Heraclius) where sent to war.
Helen and Zephyra are now stuck in a difficult situation between mutual worry for the two men of the family and broken trust.

History

Since Zephyra is the only Daughter of Zeugsis he's always been very strict with her. He had the image of a perfect daughter and worked hard to raise her like this. Only when he tried searching for appropriate suitors did he realise that Zephyras standing wasn't quiet as good in Delphi as he imagined. To his shock, she didn't even seem to care. So when he heard that the was skipping her lessons with the priestesses of Apollo and even had to nerve to sneak out at night he was furious.
