The Rift
Far away from the city of Atlantis, but not too far off the coast of Pelepones, in the deepest depths of the ocean there is a rift where no one dares to go. No Triton has been there and none dare to go.
There is a monster down there, they say. It is bigger than any of the land dwellers ships, it actually can swallow one of them in just one gulp. I have heard stories of brave - or probably rather dumb - young Tritons going there on a dare and never coming back. Even we cannot see anything there. The rift goes down into unknown depths, maybe even as far as the Erebos, but it is clear that no creature - not even those accustomed to deep sea can survive there. Even swimming close to its entrance gives you the sense of the ice cold that lives there. The waters seem to fall down into the rift, like a waterfall.
Geography
About 30 km off the coast of Pelepones lies this riff in the ocean floor. It is surrounded by rough cliffs, washed clean of any plants by the waters that rush into the deep as if the ocean is draining here. The edges of the riff used to be rough and edgy, but the centuries of water and debris rushing down them has polished them smooth and slippery. No cliff edge is to be found along the walls for those unfortunate enough to be caught in the current.
Localized Phenomena
This is the only known case of an underwater waterfall in this world. The water is not only giving the illusion of rushing down into it, but they actually are. The water around this chasm is also under zero and would freeze were it not for the constant movement.
History
How this riff or chasm came to be is ranked in myth. Some say it is the byproduct of a fight between Poseidon and one of the other gods - some tales say it was Hades, some say it was Zeus, some say it was the Titan Oceanus himself who fought with Poseidon just before the downfall of the Titans - other myths talk of a legendary monster that decided to make its home here created the riff either by burrowing deep or by simply a crash of its large tail. No tale can be confirmed to this day.
Tourism
Tourism is not really a thing here, but young Titans of every generation have called their parents liars and could not let curiosity go. Many a young Titan has never returned from a dare spoken in jest.

Interesting location! I love just how much mystery surrounds it, it's almost frightening...
It's supposed to be. If it's not yet I'll have to work more on it XD
