Reborn

Death isn’t always the end. The reborn exemplify this, being individuals who have died yet, somehow, still live. Some reborn exhibit the scars of fatal ends, their ashen flesh or bloodless veins making it clear that they’ve been touched by death. Other reborn are marvels of magic or science, being stitched together from disparate beings or bearing mysterious minds in manufactured bodies. Whatever their origins, reborn know a new life and seek experiences and answers all their own.
"The following communities are known to the people of Myzelis and recorded in the Journals of Eblin. Realms not listed here have no known populations of these Aethrin large enough to list as communities in their own right."

Gylidder Reborn

In Gylidd, the circumstances that result in an aethrin becoming Reborn are exceedingly rare. There are no communities of Reborn, except in one place — Asheido, the City of the Dead.   Asheidan Reborn: While most of the dead in Asheido remain Gently Reposed and interred with respect and dignity, some few souls demonstrate signs of revenance that keeps them from finding the afterlife. The reasons are many and varied, and Asheido itself (as a conduit between the lands of the living and the dead) is prone to hauntings and possessions of this nature. Particularly selfish souls who only wish to remain for base or cruel reasons are dealt with in a more permanent manner that forces them to pass on, but those souls whose causes are deemed righteous (not necessarily morally righteous) by Ianordath are given the blessing of Rebirth. Their souls are rebound into their bodies in a stage between the worlds of the living and the dead, and they are given time enough to finish their business and return to Asheido before the Ruby Order (Ianordath's faithful) comes looking for them.
