Satyr Species in Myzelis | World Anvil

Satyr

Satyrs resemble slightly stocky humans with furry lower bodies and cloven hooves similar to that of goats. Satyrs have pointed ears similar to an elf, and horns that vary from small stubs about two inches long to large and curled ram's horns that protrude about two feet from their head.
"The following communities are known to the people of Myzelis and recorded in the Journals of Eblin. Realms not listed here have no known populations of these Aethrin large enough to list as communities in their own right."

Eslaiqi Satyrs

The Roister: The satyrs of the Dancery are what most people think of when considering the Bottom of the Cup. They rejoice in the many pleasures of the world and don't see themselves slowing down until something forces them to. Other than the elves of the fey, they are the most humanoid of the fey creatures beyond the trees, taking on appearances similar to the elves and humans of the region but of course with their famous goat-legged lower half and curled horns. While the satyrs are know for their parties and merriment, they do still fit into regular society as a whole even if they do tend to bias toward working in the preforming arts. All Eslaiqi satyrs however do feel a draw to the Dancery, like all other of its non elven natives, some claiming there is an intoxicating element to the groves and vineyards, calling them back to dance in the footsteps of their ancestors.

Gylidder Satyrs

Ambassadors to the Feywild: Many - but not all - of the Satyr species was called to Gylidd via the magic of the Inaethri during the Age of Faith. Their incredibly bright spirits helped bridge the gap between the burgeoning Feywild and the material plane, although as they settled in they began to lose their memories of home and shed their immortality in favor of a mortal lifespan as a result. Most Gylidder Satyrs of present day are as bonded to the prime material as any other race, and although they remain Fey, they are more akin to the bestial Incari of Myzelis than their extraplanar brethren. Some communities of Satyr exist in places that governed by those who live with nature rather than attempting to control it, namely the Verdant Mesa, the Effluvian Jungle, the Grey Depths of Gylidd Syn Aethri's Underdark, the Wastes of eastern Gylidd, and the Sea of Bones.

Verberan Satyrs

Fey Frollickers: The satyrs of Verbera typically travel in from their native Feywild. Most satyrs nominally follow the teaching of Cerlyn, an archfey and their progenitor. Though satyrs are most often seen as carefree and raucous, this a stereotype and satyrs remain a complex people.
