Angel

I met one once, a blessed one, she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen and she was so kind. She lived in my village for years but none of us knew the truth until the governor's house caught fire. The flames were out of control before anyone knew what was happening, no one should have survived it, but she ran straight in without a second thought. I was sure it was sucide until I saw her wings rise from the smoke. She carried everyone out of that house, more weight than any one human could bear to lift, and then she left. I never saw her agian.
