Marivai was raised as heir to the throne of the The Dragon Kingdom, following the line of succession from her late parents. As they died shortly after her birth, a council of royal advisors helped to rule the kingdom and tutored her in preparation for her to take the throne when she came of age.
She did not know her twin sister Jezmyn until they met later in life, as Jezmyn had been separated from her family and brought up in a small village on the outskirts of the Elven Forests and only found her way to the capital city where Marivai lives after her village was raided and she was forced to flee.
When the two sisters do eventually meet, they quickly become close and make up for lost time by getting to know one another.
