Bruno Aldebrand

High General Aldebrand was an Usminan High General who was active during the Usminan-Calashi War until his death in 3934 EC. Aldebrand lead the defense of Illeron during the Siege of Illeron.   Aldebrand was respected by both his countrymen for his stoicism and valor during the later years of the war, as well as by the Calashi for his honorable dealings. It is said that after his capture during the Night of Long Shadows, the Calashi treated the general with respect - though this did not save him from the same fate as his men, and he was executed on the 244th, 3924 EC.

Legacy

Aldebrand remains frequently spoken of in Northern Usmina and Calashi'din Vorpakk, though the stories vary heavily.   In Northern Usmina, Aldebrand is remembered as a warrior who fought to defend his people to the end, and died honorably alongside his men. In Calashi'din Vorpakk, he is remembered as a general who led civilians to death through his refusal to surrender when faced with hopeless odds.
