Elf
Basic Information
Anatomy
Elves are tall, slender humanoids standing up to seven feet tall. Their skin ranges from a variety of colorful pale greens, reds, and purples, as well as a variety skin colors they share with humans. Often their hair is a darker shade that matches their complexion, but varies for each individual.
Elves have long, pointed ears compared to humans rounded ones, and have a vague degree of control over them, adding another layer of expression to their interactions.
Genetics and Reproduction
Elves are able to produce children with some other humanoid species. Their children generally take on a unique mix of traits from each parent.
Most elves have two to three children over the entirety of their long lifespans. The species grows at a particularly slow rate due to this, with most elves not expected to have their first child until around one hundred and fifty or two hundred.
Growth Rate & Stages
Elves are extraordinarily long lived, and can live well over 700 years. Most elves aren't considered adults until they are at least one hundred.
Ecology and Habitats
Elves originally hail from the Great Forest, along with numerous other fey. Most elves still remain there, though wandering elves can be found across the world thanks to their long lived nature.
Dietary Needs and Habits
While elves are omnivorous, many elven cultures have particular requirements for how meat can be sourced, and general eat only plant based foods while traveling.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Elves have particularly acute vision, letting them see details at distances farther than most humanoids. Accustomed to the dark canopy of the Great Forest, they also see particularly well in dim and dark light.
