Khytix
The Swampwanderer
Khytix is a god of swamps, death, and rot who makes its home in the plane of Khy. It is most well known in regions dense with swamps and wetlands, where mortals pray to keep it from returning to the material plane.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
Khytix is strongly associated with imagery pertaining to swamps, fungus, and death. The sudden sprouting of mushrooms in unexpected locations is said to be a sign of them probing at the border ethereal, attempting to discern whether they can return once more to the plane of life.
In order to ward off Khytix, mortals give offerings befitting a god of death - rotting carcasses, moldering food, and bones. The most common place to give such offerings are at the edge of swamps, but alternatives include fallen trees and rotting wood.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
It is unclear whether Khytix has any goals beyond spreading death, nor how intricate that plan is. It has not seemed to communicate directly with those who worship it.

Personal history
Legends say that long ago, Khytix traveled between the swamps of the material planes as readily as it did in Khy. Crops withered as it passed, ambling through existence and leaving death in its wake. Mortals foolish enough to enter swamps during this era would sometimes find themselves transported and trapped in the god's home plane. So the cycle went, with Khytix wandering and eventually returning to where it came from.
These legends fear what would happen if Khytix ever traveled to the material plane and be unable to return to its home - such a thing would signal the slow death of life on Nailara from its wanderings.
