Satyr
Satyrs are are magical humanoid species said to be created by Curae, and are commonly known as Curae's heralds. Primarily dwelling in Eos, small numbers of Satyrs reside on the material plane, primarily in Xeblisau.
They are well known for their raucous partying, hedonism, and chaotic reveling that sometimes leaves them at odds with humanoids native to the material plane.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Satyr's appear as humans with furred lower bodies and hooves much like a goat. Most have curling horns atop their head, but shorter horns are also relatively common. Most satyrs are relatively short, standing at only slightly taller than 5 feet.
Satyrs live long lives, and it is rare for an individual to die of old age before 300 years of age.
Civilization and Culture
Courtship Ideals
Satyrs are well known for their revelry, especially among mortals. They tend to live and love freely, and often, flitting between new romantic partners frequently. Romances between satyrs and shorter lived humans are much more common than compared to the similarly long lived elves, and species or gender is generally not considered a barrier for romance. The culture of approaching any who interest them can sometimes be seen as overly forward to humanoids unused to interacting with satyrs.
