Tiamat
The Dragon Queen, Queen of Chaos, The Great Calamity
Tiamat (tia-matt) is a large multiple headed Dragon. She is known as one of Banes most deadly creations. Tiamat was created during The Age of Creation as a stark opposite to Bahamut. Tiamat then gave birth to entirely new types of serpents; the chromatic dragons.
After The Betrayal and subsequent banishment of The Dead Three, Tiamat withdrew into the wilds of The Red Wastes, hiding among it's many pits and peaks. Eventually she settled within Orphans Peak, an active volcano.
Tiamat's Rise and The War of Fire
Soon after the Age of Fire began, the mortal races upon Naneth began to grow powerful. Within time Humans, Dwarves and Elves would surely dominate all in the world, Tiamat potentially included. The Dragon Queen would not have this, and began rallying all dark creatures towards the Red Wastes. Scores of monsters heeded her call, as well as hundreds of her evil dragon spawn. Tiamat attacked the northeastern region of Naneth and the human city of Aramoor. She sent hordes of serpents, wyrms, and dragons to the city, and Aramoor fell within a day. This became known as The Great Calamity. Most mortals fled from the city, seeking shelter in the wilds and those that did not, became slaves to Tiamat's new rule. She had succeeded in halting the progress of Naneth's chosen races, at least for the time. Perhaps her biggest mistake however, was not destroying them outright. In secret, humans began to flourish once more, even under the tyrannical rule of the Dragon Queen. Soon, dwarves and elves of the region began to take notice, joining with the humans as they slowly grew in power. This was the birth of The Alliance, and the beginning of the end for Taimat. Years passed, and Tiamat grew complacent with her rule, creating an opportunity for The Alliance to strike. They took this chance, with thousands upon thousands of mortals rising up against their serpent overlords. Tiamat's forces were pushed back to the Red Wastes, and Aramoor was recaptured by The Alliance. So began the War of Fire, This last bastion of Eldath's creations, standing against Tiamat and her legion of evil. Eventually, The Alliance began to fade, as Tiamat's forces were overwhelming and renewable. Tiamat herself had gained the power to create horrible creatures. Originally, this type of power was accessible to only The Eres. The Alliance drew back all forces to Aramoor and the surrounding area. They knew that the hour of defeat was upon them, inspiring the survivors to hatch a plan of desperation. It was decided that all remaining Alliance forces would attack the heart of Tiamat's armies, in the Zahovaar region of The Red Wastes. But this was to merely be a distraction, a way to draw all of Tiamat's forces to one area, drawing all her attention away from all else. For in secret, the most powerful heroes of the mortal races would travel to Orphans Peak, the home of Tiamat herself. There they would slay her inside the volcano, saving Naneth from her tyrannical rule. The plan was set in motion, and a final plea was made to any that remained good in Naneth, to join The Alliance in battle. The Battle of Orphans Peak began, with even Bahamut himself joining in the combat. The distraction worked, as the heroes arrived at Orphans Peak, and battled Tiamat within her lair. Tiamat managed to inflict get wounds and suffering upon the heroes, but was destroyed in the end. One of the heroes, a powerful necromancer, banished Tiamat's soul to The Underblaze, where she would stay forevermore. Tiamat, the Queen of Chaos, was defeated.Worshipers
Not many across Naneth still worship the Dragon Queen, with the only examples being evil oriented Dragonborn. Apart from them, several surviving Chromatic Dragons also recognize Tiamat as their true queen, instead of bowing to Bahamut like the other dragons of Naneth. SomeWarlocks, Sorcerers and Paladins have been known to hold Tiamat in high esteem. But they would do so in secret, as worshiping The Great Calamity is taboo in the more civilized of Naneth's regions.Artifacts
“Horn of Chaos”; a lost item that is said to contain the scream of Tiamat herself. When blown, the user of the horn is said to be granted power over all serpents within earshot, wryms and dragons alike, regardless of power or nature. Whether this power would work against an ancient powerful dragon such as Bahamut is unknown.
