Nataggun
A once flourishing mining town on the edge of the Blackwick mountains, founded after vast silver deposits were discovered in the area. However, as time went on, these deposits dried up much sooner than expected after a band of tough unusual stones prevented further effective extraction. In the last few centuries, the population has more than halved after heavy job losses caused over a thousand residents to relocate to other nearby settlements.
Locals have since developed a thriving paper industry, utilising the area's unique flora to produce high-quality materials for trade. One solitary silver mine is still going strong although there is a growing fear the deposits could swiftly deplete again at any time.
The outer areas of Nataggun have become desolate shells of their former grandeur as residents and businesses moved into the central cluster that forms the new town square. Abandoned structures, overgrown pathways and remnants of a bygone era paint a ghostly picture for visitors and locals alike.
Nataggun is currently overseen by Baroness Korin Rogovin appointed by King Cazir in 3946 AC. She runs a tight ship, making up for the lack of resources and manpower with a close-knit group of expertly trained mercenaries to help protect and enforce law throughout town.
