Bedd Eirwyn ([beːð] [ˈei̯rwɨ̞n])
(The settlement's name comes from the Cymraeg words 'bedd' (grave) and 'Eirwyn' (fem. form of Eirwen ('white snow').)

Bedd Eirwyn was the second village founded in the newly settled Nyridda Heartlands, in 984 FC. It was named after famous storyteller, Eirwyn Trailtithe, whose bones were carried from their original resting place by the Siomeff Expedition and buried anew when this village was founded.
