Basic Information
Anatomy
Elves are tall bipedal creatures with slender figures that possess two arms that stem from the uppermost part of their torso. Their bones are light and their muscle is lean allowing them wide range of mobility.
Genetics and Reproduction
Elves have one of the longest gestation periods among sapient species, 12 months. During this time however, elves do not experience any of the drawbacks from pregnancy other species do. Being beings born from magic their gestation consists on an accumulation of Aether. When they have gathered enough, the pregnant elf goes to the nearest seeder tree. This trees hold ball like appendages in which, when enough aether is gathered, the body of the elven child is formed. After it is formed, the appendage is downed on the floor by the tree and the kid is delivered.
Mothers take a heavy toll from this enormous discharge of aether. They suffer a great deal of pain while injecting it and are incapacitated for a few days after.
Growth Rate & Stages
Even though they are longevous creatures, elves take only twenty years to reach adulthood. From there on, they gracefully age without it showing on their bodies until they are but years from expiring, when cracks begin to form on their bodies. These red cracks expand slowly, but surely until they completely cover the body and crystalize it. The crystal then shatters and returns to the ground as dust.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Elves are omnivorous beings that can eat anything. They eat mostly produce harvested from the ground or trees. Nevertheless, they enjoy meat every once in a while to complete their nutrient intake.
Behaviour
Elves are free spirits bound to nature that love to roam through the lands and seas of Neoria. Most elves lead a nomadic life, tending towards adventuring and hunting as life long jobs. However, some prefer a more relaxed life and settle themselves in cities or by their own in the forests.

Social Structure
Although elves are libertarian by nature, in their kingdom laws are established by a council and everyone is meant to follow them, bettering the life of all citizens. Nevertheless, most elves tend to live a lonesome life by their own going from place to place. Elven nomads don't usually get along with city elves and their restrictive life views. Since not many races can outlive an elf, they usually avoid relationships with others to avoid the harm that comes from losing them. These views of relationships are the reason nomadic elves tend to live their lifes alone.
Facial characteristics
Elves have sharp and slim features with slanted, narrow eyes and aquiline noses. Their ears stand out the most among their facial features, long and pointy as they are. Even the oldest of elves have no resemblance of facial hair of any kind.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
As free roamers, elves can be found wherever you may look. There are places where a higher concentration of them is found, nonetheless. After the founding of the great nation of Nyesari a great amount of elves settled in the kingdom. In the dunes of the Danarhian desert there's also a group of dune-dwelling nomadic elves.
Average Intelligence
Elves are highly intelligent being that apply their intellect towards the synthetization of various medicines and natural products derived from herbs and oils.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Elves are really good at noticing changes in their surroundings. Their sharp eyes and noses allow them to detect any possible threat in the distance, while their long pointed ears allow them to scan nearby danger.

Naming Traditions
Common Elven Names

Major Organizations
The Kingdom of Nyesari is the only majorly elven nation in Neoria. Not many elves enjoy the stationary life of a city, as such no more attempts at creating a nation have succeeded.
The Dunehaim are a group of nomadic, dune-dwelling elves. They are widely known all thrugh the Danharian desert.
Most elves pray to the Mind-Weaver and the Mother of Moonlight. As such, several religious groups of followers are well-known, the Moonborn being the most prominent among them.
Beauty Ideals
Elves find beauty in the length of the ears. The pointier ant longer the ears, the more beautiful an elf is seen as by their peers. Because of this, elves take pride in their ears and are generally easily offended when they are insulted.
Courtship Ideals
Worshippers of Levanna as they are, elves love a good piece of art. The phrase "the fastest way to an elves heart is through the ears" comes from this. A hand-written song or poem is a classical way of courtship in the elven world.
Proposals are a whole different matter, though. Elves are not likely to engage in marriage, as susch, getting them to agree to a marriage proposal is often an arduous task. The only way to get an elf to accept a proposal is to surprise them in your own creative way. Creativity being a pillar of the Moon sculptor's tennets is a highly appreciated skill amongst elves.
Relationship Ideals
In the matter of relationships elves are the most pragmatic of races. Living a longevous life makes them able to experience more relationships across their lives. Elves are rare to stay with one partner for their whole lives and tend to engage in polyamorous relationships. Nevertheless, there are those who stay with one person for their lives and if they are of a shorter life span race, they stay single for the rest of their lives. This spans the phrase "longer than an elf's true love."
Some elves, however, decide not to engage in relationships for their lives for fear of the damage that might come from the lose of a loved one.
Average Technological Level
Elves don't delve into technology as hard as other races do. They compensate for their lack in technological research through the usage of potent spells and natural mechanisms. Their greatest advance are the aircrafts, discovered at the elven viceroyalty of Syldorei during the Age of Woe.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
Elven is the language of the elves. It varies depending on the zone, especially in the dunes of the great Dahnarian desert where the accent is easily distinguished from any other elven dialect.

Common Myths and Legends
Elves are svelte beings with a lean physique. They low density of their bones gives them lower weight than other species with a similar height frame. Because of this, they are able to dexterously carry themselves across all sort of terrains.
Elven skin tones range from mostly the same range as humans however, they don't even come close to the darker spectrum of human skin tone color. The darkest skinned elves would be the dune-dwelling Dunehaims whom sport a almond skin tone.
