Karl Von Stein
Lord Karl M. Von Stein (a.k.a. The Dauntless Hero)
Karl was born in Willhamer the capital of Anvilar. He worked with his father from a young age, forging weapons in the workshop. Their business quickly became known in the city and rivaled with great companies. This would become a problem in the long run as big merchant guilds grew envious and plotted against them. Karl and his father were wrongly accussed of a murder plot against king Argyle III and exiled as punishment.
Resentful and carrying with his father, ill with the Aether Pox. He marched onwards to the neighbouring country, the Ranginian Empire. Settling in the seaside city of Port Albens, he started his business from scratch again.
One day while working at the shop, he was visited by a young boy looking for a new weapon. The boy asked for said he had heard tale of his craft and came from far away in order to have his custom designed weapon made by his expert hands. Flattered the dwarf took the job and made a weapon worthy of a king. Fitting since the client was the prince of the Empire who, surprised by his expertise in the art of the craft, offered him a position in the army where he could be of use.
Only after his father had died did he accept the position offered to him. After a few years working in the infantry unit of the army as it's blacksmith, his might in combat granted him a raise. He was proclaimed part of the royal guard and official blacksmith of the king and his guard.
Karl went MIA along with the princess of the Empire and his companion, Kaede Foxglove, at the Throne War. The two soldiers marched into the depths of hell to recover the princess and have been lost for 30 years.
Karl reappeared during a demon forces attack to the castle of Syrendille on the 3rd of Fintannis 436 AC along with his companion and the princess.
