The Manta Throne

The Manta Throne -- a seemingly insignificant political movement that quickly gained military strength, and in just 20 years conquered half of Sek -- is the most recent in a long line of empires and rulers in a world removed from the gods.
In the year 2600, they established themselves as the ruling family of what became known as The Seafold Empire, an expanse that stretched from the Southern shores of Balkur to the Northernmost cliffs of Nereida, and East into the Wildlands. By 2640, they maintained an impressively efficient trade system throughout the continent, even as they continued their war efforts further East. They did little else to change any other existing systems in any of their city-states, and instead diplomatically puppeteered the ruling class from a distance with taxation verdicts and political unions between noble families.
The year is now 2710. The Mantra Throne celebrates its decentennial anniversary with a host of new technological advancements, arcane exports, and quasi-religious ceremonies that has the city-states abuzz with excitement. Nothing could be more perfect for the Cyr family.
