Cards Between Fates
One day, after the The Fateful Wedding, Keris made a visit to Layoya’s domain. He brought an offering of mead, and wished to spend time with her, and apologize for the results of the Fateful Wedding.
After an abundance of mead at Layoya’s table, Keris proposed a game to play, by which they may divine the fates of mortals and gods alike. He produced identical blank cards, and conjured images upon them. Layoya then mixed them together, and drew out three cards, laying them face-down upon the table. As she revealed these cards, Keris revealed unto her the truth behind the images.
It was in this way that the gods of Death and Destruction may divine the destiny and declination of mortal and immortal beings alike. And such is the reason why, in any situation where Tarot is read, those who wish to have their destinies divined bring an offering of mead, so that Layoya may be tempted to join their table and assist in drawing the correct cards.
