Boilertown Boys
Structure
The Boilertown Boys were formed by Daud and as far as anyone knows, his rule has been uncontested. He leads the entirety of the Boilertown Boys and is the only known agent of the organization to authorities, living anyways.
The rest operate in the form of individual cells, with their own micro-power structure, specialties, and ways to communicate with Daud and to each other. The cells work largely independent of the others, still towards the same goal, which prevents any one member or singular cell from jeopardizing the entire operation in the event of capture or a foolhardy turncoat.
Culture
Boilertown Boys are meant to be as cold and unfeeling as the industrial masks they wear. Daud teaches them to be wolves among sheep, that life is cheap until it's given a bounty, and that to win is all that matters. The group's ties to Bhaal are less out of religious reverence and more akin to travelers honoring the lord of the domain they enter, which for the Boilertown Boys is contract killings and murder. Some say Daud is a chosen of Bhaal, but those reports are currently pure speculation of less than credible sources.
Public Agenda
The Boilertown Boys are the source of any and all contract killings in Sovegrad. Even if it is not carried out by one of their agents, any contractor or potential employer of such services must come to Daud before the deed can be carried out, lest they suffer dire consequences. Beyond that, their motives are largely a mystery. Their recent actions are especially troublesome, as they are not a part of their standard MO: drug dealing, kidnapping, and smuggling have been recently attributed to the group, but with no understanding of what goal it serves...
Assets
The number of Boilertown Boys is unknown, but it is apparently large enough to exert an ironfisted control over the actual domain of Boilertown below Sovegrad itself. Their almost 30 years of growth within the city have undoubtedly amassed them wealth and numerous indebted allies, clearing earning their place among the Big Four.
History
Established not long after rumors of Daud, the kingslayer, had made his way to Sovegrad in 1250 MIE, the internal history of the Boilertown Boys is and likely will remain a secret. Even their actions in the public eye are hard to pin down, layered in deceit and obfuscation. Currently, they are said to be responsible for the murders of at least 500 people. No one, not Counts, police chiefs, journalists, nor even clergymen are safe from potentially becoming another tally mark for the Boilertown Boys' bloody legacy.
