Derek Lucian
Current President of the UCC. He is from Clan Ventrue as he openly acknowledged it, so everyone understands the hierarchy amongst vampires. Lucian seems physically strong and he is considered as extremely charismatic, even by mortals struggling under the rule of vampires. Foreign politics and academics consider him the key person behind the miracle of UCC. Without Lucian as a pin to hold everything together, UCC wouldn't last a day according to these specialists.
He is a genius strategist, a philosopher, a satirist and a poet according to his own description of himself. Derek lives in the White House as the previous presidents of USA, as a way to instill the feeling that the UCC is the descendent of USA. In the first days of UCC, many protesters and even dissenters tried to get close to the White House, but all of them went back in their own accord. Survivors from those days mention an overwhelming feeling crushing their will to move closer. Instead, they felt like running back and hiding in their houses until everything is over. While this is a feeling many survivors in the UCC revolution felt, these witnesses had a dread in their tone while they explain the things they have experienced around White House. Shaking hands, instant urge to vomit, strength draining from their legs are common sentences used by these people when they try to tell about what they had felt back then.
