There are a variety of status effects in NEXUS which are classified as either positive Buffs or negative Debuffs. Each status will take effect over a specific time frame until it expires, removing all of its effects and restoring the target to its original state.
Every target that can take Damage can also be affected by a status effect. However, many enemies are resistant or even immune to certain effects.
Players who have been affected by a Buff or Debuff are made aware by distinct icons on their Heads Up Display. Next to these icons, the name of the effect is shown as well as its associated countdown timer.
