Gear Repair
Many things in NEXUS require upkeep. From the Weapons and Armor players equip to the Neutron Batteries and Guardian Frames themselves, staying on top of maintenance is vitally important. Repairs and recharging are jobs that require expert mechanics, so they not only cost resources to perform but also take real-world time. Many factors are considered when making repairs, so players should keep these in mind when deciding what gear to use.
Weapons and armor are repaired by experts located at the Foundry. Each Foundry is connected with one another and can transfer gear between them. Depending on the severity of the repairs, some items must stay with Foundry mechanics for a period of time to be fully repaired. There are multiple factors that go into how much a repair will cost and how long it will take.
- Item value - the Rarity of an item increases its repair cost.
- Durability remaining - the more Durability wear an item has and the lower its overall Durability percentage, the higher the cost and time. An item with 0% Durability that must be rebuilt will have an additional 25% repair cost added.
- Item type - some items are more difficult to repair than others, such as rare weapons or high-stat armor. This increases costs and may even require additional materials. This also affects the repair time.
- Reputation - the lower the Reputation with a local Foundry, the higher the price. The player’s Reputation with the Foundry’s Faction they are currently at may be low, so repairs might be more costly than elsewhere.
