Arch Mage Valindra Shadowmantle (Gnome?, Female?, age: ??, Illusionist) is a mystery rolled into a conundrum wrapped in a riddle. It is said that "she" is a woman gnome but none have truly seen her real form, not even the council of the Arch Magi, so the rumors claim. She often goes about in guise of a small human girl (her most recognizable face) but not always. It is said that she is only seen when she wants to be seen and is only heard when she wants be heard, her reputation is that of a ghost who sometimes appears in closed and locked rooms to speak with their occupants. Not much is known about her and apparently that is how she prefers it because she remains ever elusive and steeped in shadow. The only interactions people have with the Arch Mage Illusionist are the ones where she has initiated and controlled every aspect of the contact, if for any reason she no longer sees a reason to speak with you she leaves just as abruptly and confusingly as she arrived.
