Illusionists
Illusion is one of the seven schools of magic practiced in the realm. It deals with the creation of images, sounds, figments, or shadows, generally to confuse or deceive the onlooker. The Illusionists are the least unified of the schools, like the Conjurers the illusionists do not have a business per say, some rent out their services here and there but they have no formal organization of such activities. Few specialize in the Illusion school of magic and those who do are often gnomes due to their natural affinity towards illusory arcana. The wizards of this branch of the guild are often viewed by others as tricksters and trouble makers at best, thieves and scoundrels at worst; this reputation is not entirely false, there are many thieves and rogues who start their studies at Nominis Arcanum with illusion magic and drop out after learning some handy invocations. Many Illusionists often end up, by no fault of their own, where their talents are the most useful: the criminal underworld.
