Star Chart Expanse
The Star Chart Expanse is divided in two main factions, the Pact World and the Vast. Aside from these two, there are numerous smaller systems scattered around, such as Despondos.
The Pact Worlds is made up of numerous independent planets and space stations, ruled by a collection of independent governments and associations and bound together for mutual protection and trade. The government claims no authority over worlds outside of the Pact Worlds system unless they request it and are granted protectorate status by the members. It was formed by the Absalom Pact in response to aggression toward the Golarion system, and has continued for more than 250 years to provide mutual protection from hostile forces, and facilitate interplanetary trade and law enforcement. Each world in the Pact retains its own independent government, making the Pact Worlds a confederation rather than a fully unified system government.
All planets in the system are members, though not all are considered full members with voting representatives. With few exceptions moons are considered part of their parent planet. Planets and bodies with limited civilization are considered protectorates with non-voting representatives and limited autonomy. Likewise, some non-planets have gained full member status, such as Absalom Station, but corporations and religious organizations are not full members. Many actively lobby and advocate their causes to voting members and AbadarCorp is the closest to obtaining membership, as it is the ruling force behind dozens of worlds.
The Pact Worlds government regulates trade between worlds and mandates mutual defense of the Pact Worlds against threats. These threats and policy breach are enforced by the Stewards, who also serve as diplomats between the member governments. Local laws are enforced by governments on individual planets. Despite this, the overarching government grants some rights universally to sentient beings, and additional rights to citizens of the Pact Worlds, but other matters of law are left to its members to manage. The Pact's members ultimately retain their sovereignty, except in rare cases of power abuse.
Some of the known worlds within the Pact System are:
Daegox 4,Daimalko,Embroi, Heicoron IV, Orry, Aballon, Castrovel, Akiton, Verces, Eox, Triaxus, Liavara, Bethesda, Apostae, Aucturn, Golarion (formerly), Absalom Station, Damiar and Iovo (now the asteroid belt called the Diaspora), Preluria, Silselrik, Tabrid Minor, and Veskarium. There are countless self-governing worlds around, such as the nation of Eternia, but the majority of the affluent worlds are part of the Pact Worlds.
In the Vast, there are:
Arquand, Arshalin, Azlanti Star Empire, Barrow, Elytrio, Jedarat, Lothun, Nakondis, Nejeor system, Orikolai, Primoria, Ratheren, Great Shadar, Shimrinsara, Tabori Cluster, and Urrakar.
History
An advanced dimension, the people of the Expanse have been space-farers for many generations. This makes it one of the largest dimensions in the whole Multiverse, as it is not made of one world, but thousands. Additionally, the dimension is filled with curious travelers, all looking to perfecting portal technology. So far, only magic can make portals, but there are still a large number of planewalkers from the Expanse going through Nexus at any given time.
When tech does eventually became advanced enough to create dimensional doors, many believe there will be a massive uptick in tourism, crime, and budding empires.
