Aasimar

Sometimes known as "God Touched" the Aasimar are less a race and more of a condition that is imparted onto people at birth. Not unlike a more heavenly version of Genasi.
Born of any race, Aasimar usually take on the normal day to day appearance of their parents race. But they can manifest the celestial power nearly at will, erupting with features such as incorporeal wings, glowing eyes, a heavenly glow, and so on. Aasimar can come in several forms, some of which are angel like with beautiful wings when manifesting, some of which fiery and made of divine vengeance, and even some corrupted by dark powers who have a look of death about them.  They usually come into these powers during puberty, and may have their normal day to day appearance start to shift to fit their lineage as well.
Most parents do not know what to do if/when their children show signs of being an Aasimar, if they even know what one is. None but scholars, scientists, or mages would probably even be aware they exist.
While most of the world knows Aasimar as described above, it is said that in a nation on the continent of Wahar Aasimar are not only understood, but seen as a whole race onto themselves. These Aasimar do not seem to change their appearance when their powers manifest, instead always displaying their divine (or corrupted) lineage at all times.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Aasimar can be found nearly anywhere from time to time, as there doesn't seem to be a specific reasoning or logic to what children get imbued with powers and which don't.
The exception to this is, according to rumor, a nation in Wahar where the Aasimar always manifest their divine origins and are an integral part of society.
