Imperatrice of the Impero Cosima Savina Ghiacciato (a.k.a. The People's Princess)
The current Imperatrice of the Impero Tharrisian, Cosima is the next in a long line of Ghiacciato's to rule the Impero since the 5th century of the Third Age.
Young for an Imperatrice, Cosima came to power after the rather unclear circumstances around the death of her mother, Octavia VI, and her brother Lars in a boating accident off of Singlar. Since coming to power, she has gained a reputation for effective but forceful leadership, having something of a disdain for the "game" of Tharrisian Politics.
Despite this, the people have come to love her for her charming personality and well respected public speaking abilities. She is a known patron of the arts and charity, further increasing her popularity.
Where questions remain is how she'll handle the "Union Question." To the east, where she has been surprisingly evasive, seeming to merely keep the status quo in place.
Reign
She is new in her reign, so much is to be determined. But she has the firm love of the people, and the pushing for arts and research funding in her early reign has helped reinforce this. Though it is thought that her political control of the Senatus and its "game" may be tenuous.
