The Mantle
The Mantle is the most popular religion in Kalin and is worshiped to a greater or lesser degree in almost every region of the land.
It is composed of three primary Avatars who embody aspects of sentient beings. These three being Suthan, Idiomar, and Lethaego.
Under these Avatars are the many gods of existence who embody specific areas of the world, such as nature, justice, and death. These include gods such as Morpulcar, Padnora, and more. There are too many gods to truly count that can be tied to a region or group as exclusive as a single family.
In Kalin worship of the Mantle is split into two primary "factions:" the Church of the Mantle and the Supragens Movement.
Mythology & Lore
It is taught that the Three Avatars formed Nilam and all the people's and continents on it. From this creation came the various gods, embodiments of the Avatar's creation.
In more "recent" history it is said The Mantle chose the legendary Blessed Dead to guide mortals from damnation and save the world, and then rose into the heavens to take their places as saints and embodiments of various Mantle Avatars and Gods.
Cosmological Views
The Mantle teaches that the night and day skies are a result of The Mantle, their creations and their domains. The Stars are the various heavenly seats of the infinite gods, and the Sun is the seat of the Avatars themselves, while the Moon is the night time seat of the gods.
