The Elves of Ithalin are well known for their abilities at sea. However, they must constantly be careful due to the nature of their enemy, the Green Dragons.   In 750, using unknown magics, the Green Dragons masked their movements and fell upon the great fleet of Ithalin. Within an hour much of the fleet had been burnt to cinder, and the Green Dragons escaped without losing a single of their number. The Ithali fleet was weakened for years as a result of this action, though by 755 2A, much of it has been rebuilt.
