The Golden Age of Sullia and Contact With The Ancient Dwarves

Diplomatic action

"Those who under my rule must be safe and thriving. They must be able to pass from one end of the Empire to the other without molestation or disruption. Trade and Cultural exchange should be constant and easy, both for Immortals and the Younger peoples." - Sullia

After creating and properly founding the Empire, Sullia led the Torva'Ir into a long golden age of peace and prosperity, at least according to Elven sources.   Records from this period are rather sparse, as there wasn't much to speak on beyond the local level. It is said that a person of any race or creed could walk from one end of Kalin to the other without encountering banditry or attack, though how true this is is debatable. What is known though is that the average non-Torva of the Torva'Ir could live their entire lives without conflict or major disaster pretty much all around the empire. Though the actual rights and privileges of non-Elves were non-existent.   The Golden Age came started to wind down with the "discovery" of the Dwarves that lived beneath the Northern Kalinir mountains. Initial diplomatic contact between the Torva and the Dwarves was unsteady, with the two sides even coming to blows due to their respective feelings of superiority over the other. A group of local human hunters managed to stop this skirmish before it got out of control though. Soon after official diplomatic ties were created when Sullia traveled to the neutral mountain and met the-then king of Hell's Gate Thennengari and came to an agreeable if compromised understanding.   While historians debate whether the emergence of the Dwarves into history was really an end to the Torva'Ir's Golden Age, the coming of the Great War soon after is indisputably the hard end to the Golden Age.
