"We could potentially go faster and higher than most airships, the potential is limitless if we only try." - Aimen Bilal
While the actual first flight is debated, it is generally accepted that the first recorded and noted non-airship flight was in 956 3A by Aimen Bilal and her wife Noya. The large paper airplane flew for about 3 minutes in the air over the Strakan desert before descending down and "landing." Aimen and Noya became well known celebrities for their feat, and Tarkus awarded them Strakan state medals for their work. Since then, many nations have invested heavily into researched and development around airplanes, and they have become much more common around the continent. They are often used for scouting, science, or military purposes.
