With Qaren and Cara Norixious falling during the Fall of the Return, the small floundering nation of Idiomaris found itself leaderless and listless. Further, during the Return the population was essentially forced to fully evacuate most of its holdings to depend on Tharrisian support from Forelenium to its west.   In the decades that followed The Return, the nation depended more and more on its neighbors for support while its new leaders, mostly lower level bureaucrats that never would've risen to prominence without the death of most of the nations leadership, failing to lead it effectively.   In 34 3A, the nation effectively collapsed when the nations last Dux (its third since the death of Qaren) was assassinated in the middle of a speech. The Council of Sanctus Domini split into feuding warlords bickering with each other overnight, and the nation descended into chaos.
