Rise and Tyranny of Corlin

"Am I not owed what my father built? Am I not the scion of The Grey King? Am I not worthy?" - Corlin

Once The Grey King Morlin ascended and left Kalin to wherever he wound up, the Torva'Ir was left without a leader. Unlike Corai before him though, Morlin left a successor, his son Corlin. Despite being named closely after his father, and having the same ghostly visage as his father, Corlin did not share in his fathers cunning or intelligence.   Corlin would despotically seize power that was, essentially, already his. His reign saw many massacres of well known Elven families. When the northern city of Helbrech began to whisper dissent Corlin marched the Imperial Army to its walls and began a petulant siege. He soon lost his patience and control and, using no small amount of sacrifices and borrowed energy, cast a curse on the inhabitants that turned them into Drow. He then completely destroyed the city.   Many Drow fled below the earth into tunnels, while others fled to the West to Embrel, which was ruled by Elanil, the half-sister of Corlin and bastard daughter of Morlin. Corlin began to marshal his forces to deal with this usurper but soon things spiraled out of his control.
