Daskalos Likeyos for Arts
The Daskalos Likeyos for Arts is a big and famous art academy in the eastern part of the Andranes Republic. It is located at the center of the floating city of Leikeia.
Purpose / Function
The Likeyos teaches clothes design and tailoring, drawing, painting, and plastic arts.
To attend the lessons you must be a citizen of the Andranes Republic and pay an annual fee, although there are some spots in every course reserved for foreign students and those who are particularly worthy, but could not otherwise afford to join the academy.
The Likeyos also offers housing for students, teachers and important visitors.

Alterations
The original building consisted of some classrooms, few offices, two dormitories, and a canteen.
As time passed, many more classrooms were added, as well as laboratories, private quarters for teachers and extra dormitories for students.
The Likeyos kept expanding even after the town around it was built, so some of its buildings had to be made separate from the original structures.

History
The Likeyos was established by Daskalos many centuries ago. He was a reclusive elf painter that could not stand the company of anyone who was not an artist, so he decided to build an isolated place where artists could study and create together, far away from other people.
He designed the Likeyos to be self sufficient, and did not allow non-artists to work in or near it. As time passed, the academy grew so much that this was not going to be possible anymore, and after the death of Daskalos, the new rector removed this rule, and many commercial activities opened up around the Likeyos.
Legend says that the ghost of Daskalos killed his successor for his decision.
When the mist rose, and floating cities became a necessity, the Likeyos was already so famous that it deserved to (and could easily afford to) be elevated in the sky.
