Life, Identity
Fenneck comes back to the mountains after spending the winter in Flottenheim. He has brought gifts and goodies back from the palace and he and Natalya catch up.
Natalya awoke from her trance as the cave rattled from the sound of pots and pans falling from on top of the barrels near the entrance to the cave. "Shit!" Fenneck cursed as he worked to untangle his bow from the pelts in the entrance. He had his arms full with a basket of bread, pastries and goodies and a few wrapped packages. Natalya giggled at his flailing as rolls started falling out of the basket. She got up and went to help him. "Stop, hold on!" She laughed. "Damn furs!" Fenneck cursed as Natalya unhooked his bow. "Here, let me help." She took the basket from him and he sat the packages down on the ground. He looked tired, Natalya could tell he'd had a long day. "Are you okay?" She asked, "How was your winter?" Fenneck took his gear off, "It was good. Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you. I know it's late." He said tiredly. Natalya started putting the food in the basket away in their little kitchen area. "These from Baegla?" She asked. "Yeah, I have some gifts for you too. Everyone asked about you. They wish you'd come visit soon." He started changing out of his snow soaked clothes. "I'll open them in the morning. You look like you need some rest." She said. Fenneck smiled gratefully at her, "Yes please. I'll talk to you in the morning. I'm glad to see you though, I hope you've been well." He said as he crawled under his furs, shirtless and in his braise. "I have. I'll talk to you in the morning." He slipped into his trance as Natalya put the pots and pans away. She decided to just stay awake at this point. As Fenneck rested she cleaned his dirty clothes and cleaned up around the cave. Finally after a few hours she started working on breakfast. She cut up some fruit and fixed plates for both herself and Fenneck. She also made some apple cider which filled the cave with the warm, cozy smell of cinnamon and apples. Finally Fenneck opened his eyes and smiled at the smell. "Good morning." He greeted her softly. He seemed very soothing and happy to be back in the mountains, back with Natalya. "Good morning." She said, smiling back at him as she stirred the pot of cider. He stood and walked over and sat across from her. She handed him the plate of fruit. "Here's breakfast. I'm glad you made it back safely." He smiled softly at her, "Thank you so much. This is wonderful. I'm glad to be back too." Natalya fixed him a mug of cider and handed it to him over the firepit. He took it, smiling, "You're so wonderful. How was your winter?" Natalya felt disappointed. She had nothing to report. She had gone to Lenisily once to see if Dimitri would be around but he was not and Natalya had spent the winter alone, reading or sketching. "It was...fine. Not much happened." She said. A frown formed on Fenneck's face as he saw her sadness. "I'm sorry...Did you see Dimitri?" She picked at her fruit sadly at the thought of Dimitri. She was becoming more and more worried about his safety with each passing day. "No. It was too dangerous." Fenneck frowned and sighed before changing the subject. "I have some gifts from Flottenheim for you." He suggested with a half smile. Natalya smiled at his effort, "From who?" She asked. Fenneck got excited and jumped up to get the packages he had brought in last night. "Baegla of course sent the basket of goodies you put away last night." He said as he collected them and sat back down next to Natalya. "Then Naertho sent this..." He handed her a large bag. "And the other two are from Jasna and myself." The package from Jasna was rectangle that was just over a foot long. The package from Fenneck was very small next to the other two. "Was there a special occasion?" She asked, confused by the gifts. "No, they just miss you and thought it would be nice." He smiled at her. She opened the gift from Naertho which turned out to be a new pair of winter boots. "Yours were looking a bit rough." Fenneck commented. "Thank you, actually. They're beautiful." She commented. They were the pretty blue and white colors Fenneck always seemed to wear and they were covered and lined with beautiful white fox fur. Next she reached for Jasna's gift. She tore off the packaging and saw a rather ornate box that said Mimics and Gimmicks. It had the image of a mimic treasure chest on the front with it's tongue out. There was also a note pinned to it from Jasna. Fenneck's eyes widen when he saw it. "I...I didn't help her with this. I don't know what it is but you...you might not want that." Natalya looked at him funnily. She started reading the card Jasna had written out loud, "Dear Natalya, Fenneck tells me Dimitri has been a stick in the mud lately" Natalya gave Fenneck a stern glare and kept going, "and hasn't been taking advantage of that hot bod of yours like he should be. And since Fenneck is too much of a prude to do you and I hate the wilderness (Sorry! Trekking into the mountains seems like a nightmare!) I sent this to help hold you over. Also come visit me, I miss you! Tell Fenneck to stay in the mountains instead some time! All the love, Jasna. P.S. You might let Fenneck use this stuff too! He's so uptight and could use a night to himself. Winkey face. (I'm laughing in case you couldn't tell!) Okay love you byeeeee!" Natalya giggled at Jasna's ridiculousness. Fenneck was beet red. "Don't open that!" He said a little panicky. Natalya laughed at him, "Oh please, it couldn't possibly be that bad." She opened the box so that Fenneck couldn't see the contents. Inside was a giant cylindrical, scaly, colorful glass shape that Natalya was confused by for about ten seconds before realizing it was a dragonborn dildo. She burst out laughing. "Let me see!" Fenneck said trying to get a glimpse into the box. She pulled it away from him though and closed the box. She fell back on the floor as Fenneck tried to grab the box from her by climbing on top of her. He grabbed the box out her hand and sat on top of her. "Hey! Get off" She said, but he had her pinned down. She didn't like how excited her body felt with him pressing down on hers. She squirmed but Fenneck didn't budge. She tried to tickle him off but he managed to open the box. His eyes grew wide and he blushed a bit at the sight of the enormous sex toy. "Oh my god..." He said in shock. Natalya laughed and tried to push him off of her with no success. "Get off!" She said again kicking her legs up causing him to lurch down on top of Natalya, laughing. He leaned into Natalya's ear. She felt her heart start to pound from excitement. She wished he had a put a shirt on. "What's wrong?" He teased her sensually. Natalya felt herself start to blush as Fenneck's breath teased her skin. "Do you think you'll prefer the monstrosity Jasna sent you to the real thing?" He whispered into her ear. Natalya couldn't tell if he was joking or not but her body hoped he wasn't. She felt Fenneck's face lightly nuzzle her own and she felt herself growing weaker by the minute. It had been a while since she had been with Dimitri. Fenneck's muscular shoulders grazed her chin and she felt a strong desire to put her lips on them. She also enjoyed the way his silky hair rested on her chest and danced across her face with his movement. She noticed Fenneck's hands were holding her wrists down on the fur covered floor beneath them. Her body felt overwhelmed with desire as Fenneck teased her. She didn't know what to say, she wanted him to take her. To love her. To experience how wonderful it might feel to have her thiramin inside her. She wondered if this was a game or not. She couldn't tell and before she could stop herself she tipped her head to the side to kiss his neck, letting her tongue dance on his skin. Suddenly, he jerked back in shock. Of course. Natalya thought, as Fenneck ruined the moment. He leapt off of her and moved quickly to the opposite side of the cave. He started struggling to breath. "Fen." She said disappointedly sighing, knowing the moment was gone. "We shouldn't have done that." He said panicking. He put his hands up on his head to try and breath deeper. "I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have done that." "Fen, it's fine. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have kissed you." She tried to reassure him but he was off on another plane of existence now, mumbling to himself about how stupid he was. "Fenneck, please don't get upset." She begged him. They had been so good for so long. She hoped this wouldn't mess everything up again. Slowly, he stopped pacing and calmed down. He only let a few tears fall down his face before coming back over and sitting next to Natalya. "I'm sorry, I...I don't know what came over me." He said looking sadly into her eyes. "Well, it clearly wasn't me." Natalya joked to him. He smiled and sniffed as he wiped the last tears from his face. "That's funny." He said as he chuckled, grateful for her reassurance. "I like our friendship." He said, looking down, "I don't want to mess that up." Natalya nodded. "Me too." She said sighing, truly meaning that. He gave her a soft smile, "Well, I guess you'll have to make do with the dragonborn for a while." He joked. Natalya laughed, "It's truly something isn't it?" Fenneck picked up the box again and took the dildo out and feigned admiration for it in the firelight. "It's quite the work of art. You know we could leave it out on display. It's quite fabulous, especially with the light reflecting off of it." He joked. Natalya smiled and laughed gratefully at Fenneck's new ability to move on from their awkward moment. "Yeah, it would look great on the bookshelf, right out in the open. Really adds character to the place." She played along. Fenneck sat the giant toy down and picked up the Mimics and Gimmicks box again. He pulled out a small, smooth disk that looked like it was made from smooth, beautiful opal. "You might actually enjoy this." He said handing her the disk. "What is it?" She said cautiously. He looked embarrassed that he would have to explain, "It's...it's um...it's a flutterer." He said awkwardly. Natalya was still confused, "A what?" Fenneck started blushing, "A...a flutterer. You have to attune it for it to work though." She looked at him, still confused. He took a deep breath and sighed, "It um...vibrates and...you...you use it to orgasm." She looked quizzically at the stone and then back at Fenneck. "Really?" She was more confused than anything else. Fenneck chuckled at her. "Yes, it's a magical item, you'll need to attune it to yourself." She looked at him confused again. "How?" Fenneck looked into the box hoping for some instructions but he came up short. "Well," He said awkwardly, "I'm not...quite sure. You would need to spend some time with it and try to focus magic into it. Make sure you're touching it to your skin though. Once it's attuned to you, only you can use it." Natalya sat it down and shrugged, "Well I'm shit with magic so do you want it?" He rolled his eyes at her, "You are not shit with magic. You saved my life once before thanks to your magical abilities." "Yeah, just barely!" She said, "Besides, I obviously don't need this." She sounded reluctant and could help but feel curious as to what the toy might do. "Here, open my gift. It might help actually." He said handing her the tiny box. "What is this? A nipple clamp or something?" Fenneck scrunched his face in disgust, "Gods no. Ugh." He suddenly stopped, "I uh, I mean, unless your into that. I...I don't mean to sound judgmental." Natalya laughed at him as she opened the small box. Inside it was a large, perfect pearl. Natalya felt guilt rise up in her at Fenneck's almost always perfect and affectionate gifts. "It's beautiful." She said taking it out of the box and holding it up in the light. "Does it go up my ass?" She asked him smiling. Fenneck rolled his eyes, "No. It's a Pearl of Power. It contains magic that when you speak an attunement word it will become easier for you to summon magic." "So what happens if I put it in my ass?" She asked, still laughing. "You fart rainbows!" Fenneck said teasing her back. "Okay, so what's the magic word?" She asked. "I attuned it to the elvish word for friend, mellon." He looked into her eyes and smiled softly. "I know this hasn't been easy, but I want you to know that I am extremely grateful to have you in my life. When I met you I didn't realize how lonely I'd been these last few years." He looked down and sighed, "I'm really glad that we're friends Nat. That I have someone in my life that I've allowed myself to open up to." He looked up and took one of Natalya's hands. "I...I love you. Not in a...romantic...I need to marry you sort of way. But in a very deep, I'm so blessed to have met you and to have you in my life kind of way. You don't realize how much you've given me by coming into my life. I know thiramin has not been what I originally thought it would be, but I do believe you are my soulmate. That are paths were meant to cross. Maybe not the way I wanted but...I'm glad things turned out differently." He smiled up at her softly. She squeezed his hand, "Thank you. I...I love you too. I'm really glad things have turned out like they have. I don't want to mess this up." She said, feeling grateful, blessed and shameful for kissing him. Fenneck smiled at her. "Hold the pearl and say mellon." Natalya did and as she spoke the word she felt magic pulse through her body. Fenneck handed her the opal disk and she hesitantly took it. She did her best to channel the magic from the pearl in one hand into the stone in the other. After a few moments the stone started to vibrate and she instinctively threw it from being startled. It landed on Fenneck and he laughed. It kept vibrating and Fenneck picked it up and held it out to her. "You'll have to turn it off." He said laughing. She took it from him, "How?" "Just, like squeeze it or something." They were both laughing and soon she figured out how to control it. "Weird." She said as she put it back in the box. "Next time I go for a walk or something you should...try it out." Fenneck suggested shyly. "Maybe." Natalya said, not wanting to seem eager. "Maybe you could bring it next time you see Dimitri." Fenneck said standing up and walking over to his corner. He grabbed a soft, baby blue poet shirt and went back to his breakfast and cider. Natalya rolled her eyes, "If I ever see him again." Fenneck looked at her sadly, "I'm sure you will. I'm sorry you have to go through this." Natalya forced herself to eat a few bites of fruit. "Every time I do see him I'm worried it might be the last. He pulls away more and more every time I'm with him." She said, agitated. "It's not fair. I want him to get out. To be safe." She looked down sadly. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to be a downer." She said. "Oh please, I understand. I can't imagine how awful it must be." Fenneck sighed, "How is he...looking? Is it...obvious yet?" She thought for a moment. "He has a full beard now, which is kind of nice. Is it weird that I don't hate how he's aging? It's kind of...sexy...in a way. He doesn't understand that though." Fenneck smiled and laughed softly, "I think I understand. I've never actually been with anyone with a beard but they can be quite sexy. Honestly from the way you describe him, I see the appeal." She smiled. "Is he...does he move the way he used to?" Fenneck asked. Natalya softly laughed to herself, "He moves just fine. He's always been in good shape. He's still as big and strong as he's always been." She paused, "He's been a bit more...hurried lately though. At most he'll only ever give me ten minutes anymore." "Ten minutes of what? Oral?" Fenneck asked, taking a sip of cider. Natalya laughed, "No, just sex." Fenneck choked on the cider and started coughing. "Are you okay? Was it too hot?" Natalya asked, concerned. He waved her off as he collected himself. "Ten minutes of sex?" He asked her, in shock, "That's it?!" "Well, yeah, I mean. It's normally outside in the snow so like, we don't take our time with things. Even before now it wasn't that much longer." Fenneck looked at her in shock and a little concerned. "Wait wait wait." He said trying to collect his thoughts, "How long, say you were inside with some privacy, how long would you normally have sex?" He asked. Natalya shrugged, "Maybe forty-five minutes, an hour if we're really lazy with nothing to do." Fenneck stared at her, still in shock. "What?" She finally asked him. "Is...is that...good enough for you?" He asked concerned. Natalya found his judgment rude and she threw a piece of apple at him. Fenneck casually caught it in his hand and popped it in his mouth before continuing to look at her expectantly. "Yeah, why wouldn't it be? How long is sex supposed to last, in your mind?" She asked. He thought for a moment, "Like a few hours, at least. Normally, a whole evening or half the day. When I was with Alexei we started around lunch time and didn't finish till dawn the next day." Natalya's jaw dropped in shock, "That's insane." She said, "Why...How? Why would you need that much time?" "What do you mean? How do you only make love for ten minutes?" He countered. "Oh please, you haven't ever had a quick fuck?" She asked him bewildered. "What do you mean? Of course not! Can you even orgasm that quickly?" He asked. Natalya felt herself blush, "Well...not all the time, but that's not the point!" Fenneck looked at her in astonishment, "What the hell is the point then?" She met his gaze, "To fuck! To get fucked. I don't know!" Fenneck thought for a moment, "Does Dimitri orgasm?" "Yes, of course!" She said defensively. Fenneck gave her a pitying smile, "I see." He said. Natalya glared at him and chucked another piece of apple at his face. He caught it in his mouth and smiled at her. She rolled her eyes at him. "You're a jerk. I am very happy with my sex life and you can take that dragonborn dildo and shove it up your ass, along with your judgmental attitude!" "Is that a challenge?" He teased. Natalya wondered if he would actually be into that. "You're disgusting!" She said. "Oh please, you're just jealous that, while you might have more sex than me, I clearly have had the more adventurous sex life." Natalya rolled her eyes, "It took you over a hundred years to get laid once, that doesn't make you impressive. It just makes you sad." She teased. He rolled his eyes, "Perhaps, but at least I left the bedroom knowing my partner was very satisfied." She glared at him. "Oh come on, I'm just teasing." Fenneck said, "I know you and Dimitri have a wonderful time and you do normally seem quite satisfied with your romps. I just find it surprising for an elf, that's all." She thought for a moment, "What do you even do for hours? Isn't that exhausting?" Fenneck smiled to himself and blushed a little, "No. You take your time with things. You make love. You pleasure each other. You don't throw each other against a tree and 'bang-it-out' as you've so elegantly put it in the past." "Sounds exhausting." Natalya said. "Maybe it's a good thing we've decided to keep it in our pants." Fenneck said taking another bite. "Yeah, maybe." Natalya said returning to her food. She thought about what it might be like to make love for hours. To be so passionate and romantic. To pleasure a lover for hours. As she thought these things though she didn't imagine Dimitri making love to her. She imagined Fenneck's romantic green eyes looking up at her as their bodies experienced such bliss. She blushed and tried to shove the thoughts away. They were dangerous. She decided not to risk her relationship with Fenneck. She especially didn't want Dimitri to have the satisfaction of being right. That she would eventually end up back in Fenneck's arms.
