General Physical Condition
Giyu is a fairly tall young man of a lean muscular stature and pale complexion.
Body Features
Giyu has the wings, the tail and horns of a white Bewilderbeast. The spines along his back are quite big even in his dragon form but his talons which are quite short for an average Dragon-Shifter.
Facial Features
He has choppy raven-black hair of uneven lengths, with jaw length side-bangs, a low messy ponytail at the base of his neck, and bangs falling over his eyes in an choppy fringe. His eyes are sharp and moderately large, having irises a lapis blue color, and their pupils a navy blue, sometimes having his irises completely opaque and empty, just in lapis blue color, and are framed by thin eyebrows.

Special abilities
Master Swordsman: Giyu is one of the most powerful and skilled swordsman in the entire organization. Akaza, who has fought countless swordsman in the past, was impressed with Giyu's skill, stating that he possesses finely developed swordsmanship.
Water Breathing (水の呼吸 Mizu no kokyū?): As the Water Hashira, Giyu is his generation's most skilled Water Breathing user. Giyu has completely mastered this swordsmanship style, to the point that he created an entirely new technique within the Breathing Style and impressed Akaza who had fought Water Hashira in the past.
First Form: Water Surface Slash (壱ノ型 水面斬り Ichi no kata: Minamo Gi?)ir: The user generates enough momentum to create a powerful single concentrated slash.
Second Form: Water Wheel (弐ノ型 水車 Ni no kata: Mizu Guruma?): The user leaps and vertically spins forward in the air while releasing a flowing attack in a circular motion.
Third Form: Flowing Dance (参ノ型 流流舞い San no kata: Ryūryū Mai?): The user swings and bends their blade in a winding motion along with their body and dances in a flowing pattern, slicing everything in its path.
Fourth Form: Striking Tide (肆ノ型 打ち潮 Shi no kata: Uchishio?): The user makes multiple consecutive slashes while twisting their body and sword in a flowing fashion to deliver multiple blows simultaneously.
Fifth Form: Blessed Rain After the Drought (伍ノ型 干天の慈雨 Go no kata: Kanten no Jiu?): The user changes the grip on their sword and decapitates the opponent in a single flowing strike that causes little to no pain. It is a “sword strike of kindness” used when the enemy willingly surrenders.
Sixth Form: Whirlpool (陸ノ型 ねじれ渦 Roku no kata: Nejire Uzu?): The user fiercely twists their upper and lower body, creating a whirlpool of air that cuts anything caught in it. Its effect and efficiently is enhanced underwater, where the user can draw water around their weapon to enhance their slashes.
Seventh Form: Drop Ripple Thrust (漆ノ型 雫波紋突き Shichi no kata: Shizuku Hamon Tsuki?): The user performs a fast and accurate stab, capable of reducing the impact of a moving target.
Eighth Form: Waterfall Basin (捌ノ型 滝壼 Hachi no kata: Takitsubo?): The user cuts the target vertically in a flowing motion which is most effective when they are falling downward.
Ninth Form: Splashing Water Flow (玖ノ型 水流飛沫 Ku no kata: Suiryū Shibuki?): The user changes their footwork in a way that minimizes the landing time and surface needed when landing, allowing the user to move without limits. Ideal when fighting in a place with no solid foothold.
Tenth Form: Constant Flux (拾ノ型 生生流転 Jū no kata: Seisei Ruten?): The user performs a continuous flowing attack which seemingly takes the form of a water dragon that increases in strength and power with each rotation due to momentum.
Eleventh Form: Dead Calm (拾壱ノ型 凪 Jū Ichi no kata: Nagi?): A form of his own personal creation, the user ceases all body movements and enters a state of complete tranquility, deflecting, blocking and cutting any incoming attacks with imperceptible speed with his blade. However, its effectiveness is limited as fast and numerous attacks can break through.
Eleventh Form: Dead Calm, Tidal Waves (拾壱ノ型 凪・波折り波濤 Jū Ichi no kata: Nagi - Naori Hatō?): An offensive variation of Dead Calm. The user initiates Dead Calm, before suddenly appearing behind their opponent, having already moved and unleashed a delayed-barrage of sharp water sword slashes that completely lacerates them before summoning multiple towering tidal waves and causing them to slam downwards on their enemy with tremendous force.
Shapeshifting: Giyu is able to turn either into his human form, his main form or into his dragon form as a full blown white Bewilderbeast.
Ice Breath: Like every Bewilderbeast, Giyu is capable of breathing a massive wave of ice that leaves behind massive damage upon freezing and hitting its target.
Enhanced Strength: Giyu seems to be stronger than other Bewilderbeasts in his dragon form, though it seems like he is a little bigger.
Enhanced Endurance and Stamina: Similar to other Bewilderbeasts, Giyu is extremely tough and can withstand most of the attacks that are fired at him. His stamina is very high as he was shown to be able to travel long distance. He could also take multiple, heavy attacks and could still swim away with little to no exhaustion.
Dragon Mind Manipulation: Giyu is able to manipulate the minds of most dragons, appearing to bend their wills. Giyu's antenna-like spines around his eyes rapidly vibrate, along with brisk dilation and contraction of the pupils when this mind manipulation is in active use. The vibrations of the spines suggest an auditory component to the manipulation. This auditory mind control uses ultrasound, which may be why humans appear unaffected. It is unknown if other animals are able to be influenced by this ability.
Strength and Combat: Due to his colossal size in dragon form, Giyu possess nearly unmatched strength and raw power. He can crush massive war contraptions without even noticing it and plow through mountainsides as if they were paper walls. His scales and hides are thick and durable, able to withstand numerous weapons that would be problematic for other dragons. Human spears laced with Dragon Root bounce right off. When moved to actively fight, Giyu uses several tactics for battle. When battling smaller dragons or humans, Giyu prefers to attack from the depths of the seas, emerging with a roar and decimating his foes with his icy breath, and stomping on whatever remains. When brawling against another Bewilderbeast, the tusks are the main weapon used, each wrestling and grappling with his tusks to flip over and gain dominance over the other.
Underwater Adaptations: His dragon form appear to be mainly aquatic, but also does not appear phased by being on land. He does not have any visible nostrils, so may absorb needed oxygen by other means. His body is streamlined for swimming at high speeds and is capable of ignoring drastic hydraulic drags and water pressures due to his colossal body mass. Giyu is agile enough to effortlessly chase and catch a large number of fish, and is fast enough to demonstrate surprise attacks despite being so large.
Apparel & Accessories
Giyu wears a black standard Monster Hunter uniform, consisting on a button-up jacket with golden buttons, stand collar and long sleeves, a white belt, and a tattsuke hakama pants wrapped by white kyahan, having a pair of white zōri with dark blue straps and tabi socks underneath being the same color as his uniform. Over this, Giyu wears a haori that's split down the middle into two different halves: the right one in a carmine color, and the left one in a geometrically patterned rhombi prints, in green, dark green, orange, and yellow. These haori were later noted to have belonged to his late older sister, Tsutako Tomioka, and his deceased friend Sabito.
Specialized Equipment
Standard Nichirin Katana: Giyu carries around a standard sized and shaped Nichirin katana with a black blade that has a deep blue outline. His katana's tsuba is hexagonal in shape, with a bronze core and an overlapping red fuschia border. The handle is black and wrapped in white cords, and it ends with a fuschia kashira. As a Hashira, Giyu's blade has the words Destroyer of Demons (惡鬼滅殺 Akki Messatsu?) engraved on the side. Along with his katana, Giyu has a standard sword sheath that is deep black in color.
