Basic Information
Anatomy
Werespiders have three forms the first is their humanoid form which are bipedal and have four limbs, two legs and two arms, five digits on each hand and feet and have hairless bodies. They have hair on their heads and males are able to grow facial hair.
The second form, their spider form, appearing as an enormous spider, at least half as heavy again as the werespider's human form.
Their third form, their hyprid form where their human and spider form are mixed together which is not necessarily the same for each Werespider. Some are humanoid with multiple limbs, while others have a human-like torso sprouting from the abdomen of a giant spider.
Biological Traits
Female Werespiders are generally larger than males and males are able to grow facial hair. Female Werespiders are able to produce milk from their breasts and are the ones that lay the eggs.
Werespiders are forced to change into their spider form when exposed to moonlight, but experienced Werespiders are able to change into spider form at will. Werespiders are also able to rapidly heal wounds as long as it wasn't made from using silver.
Genetics and Reproduction
The number of eggs a female Werespider lays per brood can vary, but was usually small, between one and ten.
Werespiders can create new Werespider by biting another humanoid, if the victim doesn't get treated before the next full moon, they will become a Werespider.
Growth Rate & Stages
Werespiders a are a long-lived race and reach physical maturity somewhat later than Humans. A Werespider is traditionally considered an adult once he or she reached age fifty.
Werespiders age much like Humans but over a longer period of time, remaining vigorous well past 150 years. Most Werespiders lived to see their bicentennial, and a few live to be over 400.
Ecology and Habitats
They are typically found either in forests or urban environments. In the former they make their homes suspended high up in the boles of large trees, securely lashed with sturdy web-lines. Those that lived an urban life typically had webbing in parts of their home and a cocooned victim.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Werespiders are a carnivorous species. Those that lived within woodlands primarily eat woodland creatures that they caught in large spider web traps. Any human they caught is equally as likely to be eaten as it is to be set free. While those that lived within urban environments primarily preyed upon Humans.
Biological Cycle
As time progresses Werespiders age, eventually their bodies will reach a point where they can no longer sustain themselves and will eventually die.
However, they live much longer lives than some other races such as Humans.
Behaviour
Werespiders firmly adhered to the idea of a society being as strictly ordered as their webs. A Werespiders behaviour differs between males and females.
Females are more aggressive and brutish in nature while males are more calm and kinder in nature. Female Werespiders are less likely to cooperate with other races while males are more willing to cooperate and find it easier to interact with other races.
