Valara

Valara is the homeland of the Valaran Empire. It is heavily populated by humans and half orcs. Much of non-mountainous terrain is covered by farms and vineyards. There are also several large cities.

Geography

The island of Valara is located near the center of the Solaran Sea . It is about 120 miles wide east to west, and about 80 miles across. Three mountain ranges join together near the center of the island,with a number of narrow passes allowing passage across them. The rest of the island is comprised of broad, fertile valleys and rolling hills.
Most of the coastline is rocky, with a few narrow inlets or small sandy beaches. However, there are several deepwater harbors, each with a large port city.
