Cazic-Thule
The Faceless
Cazic-Thule is the embodiment of fear, dread, fright, and terror. The Faceless has two children, Terris-Thule and Morell-Thule, and is also responsible for the ascension of several demigods. Cazic-Thule makes his home in the Plane of Fear, which was the first plane breached by mortals since the Elder Age.
History
Cazic-Thule discovered the world of Norrath around the same time as Bristlebane during the Age of Monuments. Tunare, Prexus, Brell Serilis, and of course Veeshan had already populated the world with their creations. He was drawn to the world's swamps and jungles, which is where he created the trolls and the many variations of lizardfolk, such as the Iksar and Shissar. Throughout the history of Norrath, Cazic-Thule has been a primary villain. Cazic-Thule often had struggles with Quellious, the goddess of peace. Legend states that the two gods battled for an eternity over the dream realm, and when neither gained any ground, they each put forth a portion of their power, creating the twin deities of Morell-Thule of Terris-Thule. Morell being more like his mother, seeking peaceful sleep for mortals, while Terris inherited her father's trait, seeking to instill fear in sleeping mortals through frightening nightmares.Followers
Cazic-Thule's followers are deathly afraid of him, but believe that spreading this intense fear into the hearts and minds of others will earn the Faceless' favor. Hope is the eternal enemy of any true Cazicite. Terror, fright, and dread, and living sacrifice are the tools of a devotee of Cazic-Thule. Most Shissar tribes are devout followers of Cazic-Thule, but his population of more intelligent races grows every day. It is their belief that soon all of Norrath will be enveloped in a fog of nightmares. A massive temple to The Faceless was built centuries ago by the Ogres in the jungles of The Feerott. The erudites of Paineel also worship the Lord of Fear.Lineage
