Tunare
Mother of All
Tunare the goddess of nature and rules over the Plane of Growth. She created the Elves and nearly all of the animals of Norrath.
History
The Mother of All can also be described as the goddess of life and nature. She was among the first gods to come to Norrath following Veeshan claiming the planet. During the Age of Scale, Tunare, along with Brell Serilis and Prexus, agreed to a pact in which they would plant the seeds of life in the promising world in order to balance out Veeshan's power. Tunare claimed the land of Norrath while Brell and Prexus claimed the caverns and oceans respectively. She first created the Elves, creatures of grace and beauty. The Mother of All is also credited with the creation of many other animals, plants, and mystical creatures including faeries, sprites, treants, and unicorns. The Elves though are her greatest creation, for they have contributed much to the world with their advancements and studies in the arcane arts. During the Age of Blood, the Elves were forced to flee their homes on the continent named after Tunare due to the actions of Solusek Ro. Ro inexplicably raised what are known today as the Serpent's Spine mountains, which cut off the rains that came from the plains of Karana to the west. The years of drought turned the Eldarr Forest into the Desert of Ro. The Elves sailed the Ocean of Tears to Faydwer, the land of Dwarves and Gnomes. Within the Greater Faydark, they established two cities. Kelethin, a wonderous treetop city of platforms and elegant bridges; and Felwithe, a magnificent castle of the most beautiful marble. A church devoted to Tunare was erected in Felwithe, which stood throughout the Age of Turmoil.Followers
Tunare's followers believe, despite what any one else thinks, that Tunare is the mother of all living things. They understand that not everyone accepts this ideology, but is their goal to protect and preserve the living, breathing world they inhabit. Many druids, rangers, and most Elves in general follow the ways of Tunare.Lineage
