Return to Duty

The party returns to Emerald Outpost and begins to formulate war plans with Sirian Wolfwind.

November 14th - November 17th

Lina finally hands Carlos his newly improved armor before the party sets out on their journey north to Emerald Outpost again. On the way, Ellie shares her knowledge of ghouls, gargoyles, and werewolves in Castle Mistmoore with the party. She seems pretty excited about the information but the rest of the party doesn't see that as good news.  

November 18th

The party makes it to Emerald Outpost just after sundown where they are welcomed again by Sirian Wolfwind. He confirms that the orcs are mustering a strike force in retaliation for the death of Lord Darish. He also tells them that he has done much research in their absence about the Orc leaders of Clan Crushbone:

• Bloodgurgler - Warden of the Camp
• Bonefire - Warden of Defense
• Chokehold - Warden of Trade
• Lord Darish - Warden of War
• Marrowbone - the Thaumaturge
• Stingtooth - the Trainer
• The Prophet

  Sirian also describes that there are non-orcs helping the orcs. Namely a Dark Elf named D'Vinn and an unknown Wood Elf, who the party deduces is the bandit leader Davin. Sirian also explains that elves are waiting on their reinforcements, which will arrive before the orcs. That evening the party begins formulating a plan on how best to attack the orcs. They come up with an idea that involves enchanting an Orc and sending it back to the fort to convince the orcs to hold some sort of celebration to distract the orcs.  

November 19th

The next morning, the party is presented with a captured Orc war chief, courtesy of Sirian's men. The plan becomes they take the war chief halfway back pretending to execute him, make it seem like he escaped from them, Carlos casts Suggestion on the war chief and makes it think that it is a sign that The Prophet bless their attack and requires a celebration in the name of Rallos Zek. Also that he heard the elves talk about the arrive of The Prophet. The elven forces are expected to arrive late on the 20th, so Carlos tells the war chief to hold their celebration on the 21st. The only thing left to do now is wait.
