The New Lantern Inn
Not to be confused with the old lantern inn that stood on the same spot.
Alterations
The New Lantern Inn stands on the exact spot where the old Lantern Inn burnt to the ground. A charred beam, salvaged from the charred remains, was installed above the main bar as a reminder that an inn can have too many lanterns. If that is not enough then the official looking notice hanging on the back of the front door should serve as a warning because that is what it is. It was given to the inn by the builders guild and details how many lanterns are to be lit per room and at what hour. Ignoring these rules could see a fine levied by the guild or the building destroyed by fire, the owner gets to choose the punishment. As such the lighting in the inn is subdued and injuries are common, especially given the low beams and crooked floors.
