Ashara

The Ashara is an organized religion centered around the veneration the Asha as a mentor and a as a guide in the Kisharan quest of achiving Pajin. The Ashara is the official religion of Republic of Kishara, with its capital also serving as its religious center. The somewhat pacifist teachings of the Ashara have contributed in the past to its rise in popularity outside of Kishara, especially around the Agaman Bay, and the Darsal Crest.

Mythology & Lore

The Ashara does not hold special significance to any pantheon in particular, but it does encourage followers to adopt one for themselves follow their teachings. The Asha themselves also holds no special veneration. Instead, they are seen as the culmination of an ongoing collective effort to ascend a single person into a state of godhood.

Divine Origins

The Ashara began its way with Sha Azar     was dirst introduced to the kisharans by the Kalashtar

Tenets of Faith

The Paths of the Asha are considered to be a research of the paths leading to epiphany, everlasting life, love, magic, professional success and more.   Each Asha adds their thoughts and teachings during their lifetime, which are then arranged, catalogued and added into the relevant sections after their deaths by the Asha that succeeds them.

Priesthood

The priesthood of the Ashara is relatively strict when compared to the rest of the religion and even when compared with other organized religions. While most followers and believers are only encouraged to follow the teachings and ways of the Ashara, those wishing to become ordained members are required to go through lengthy processes and give away many of their freedoms and most of their possessions.

Asha

The Asha is considered as the religious head of the Ashara. They teach their ways to a Pekal of 50 highly esteemed students called Ashnir, with the ultimate goal of finding a worthy successor to their path.

Ashnir

The ashnir serve as a religious court, a scholarly organization and as theological leaders. The debate laws, past teachings and ongoing difficulties and challenges the religion faces as a whole. While the Asha dictates the path, the ashnir are those charged with paving it. They serve as a barrier between the Asha and the people, conveying their philosophies and laws.   The Ashnir are considered the most dedicated, most well versed and wisest of the Ashara. They dedicate their lives to contemplate philosophy and theology and must adhere to strict rules and routines. They are hand picked by the Asha from among all the Ashara's kashirs.

Kashir

The kashirs are the keepers of the Paths. The kashir's most important role is the management and care of the Path of the Asha. They swear oaths of celibacy, asceticism and mortality. Most of kashirs are not employed in the Palace of Contemplation or even around the Paths of the Asha. Instead, they are mostly employed inside temples and shrines, but they can also be found as tutors in schools or as wise men of remote communities.   To followers of the Ashara, the kashirs serve as the people's ears. They are in charge of gathering the laws and verdicts most relevant to their area and serve as religious counsels and advisors in their communities. Kashirs are required to undergo 12 years of study in Kisar prior to receiving their rank. Once every 4 years they return to Kisar to deliver the requests of their flock and to educate themselves on new laws, verdicts and philosophies of the current Asha.

Denkir

A denkir is a pilgrim of the Ashara who visits to study and eventually become Kashir. While they all start their path eventually become kashirs while still in Kisar, most of the denkir are sent away, often tasked with the day to day duties of various temples and shrines. After a denkir has filled their role for more than 6 years, they are permitted to return to Kisar in order to begin their studies as kashirs. While they are not required to take any vows, it is commonly expected of them to take the Mortalis Permisima.
