Daïdänt mountains
Promarily located in Leide, though its westernmost edges and highest peaks stretch into Sorenland, the Daïdänt is a mountain range found in central Ewura. It dates back to the Third Age and contains some of the tallest mountains in the world. Sparsely populated by self-contained communities, it is a wild and dangerous place. Roads and settlements are frequenty predated by bandits and wild animals, and the inabitants are almost universally hostile to outsiders.
Inhabitants
The Daïdänt's most notorious human inhabitants include the Ironwrights, whose main compound is hidden somewhere among the mountains, and the bandits Aníbal Dias and Cézar 'the King' Varela, Elliw 'Dicey' Dacus, and Miroslava 'Mirror' Shuksin who, along with their gangs, are believed to be living in the steep valleys and large cave systems throughout the range.Industry
Mines and attached company towns have been established along rich seams of iron, copper, tin, silver, lead, and quartz, and the rivers often run black with tailings and runoff, especially after heavy rainfall. Where's the rest of it? Flora and fauna Lions, bears, snow leopards, bighorn sheep, goats, hares, stuff like that. Something big and predatory, known only by 30cm wide bitemarks. Scary, fear of the unknown, ohh~ Landmarks and notable locations The Daïdänt is full of thin places, so 'landmarks' is a bit of a misnomer 1. A hand-built church made by a somewhat decent bandit guy. In the edge of a thin place, so it only appears to other outlaws who follow the bandit's code of ethics. Can't be seen from all angles. Slippery. 2. A weird bit in the grasslands where people have disappeared. Natural(?) standing stones a few metres apart that people say it takes days to travel betwen. Bizarre geometric / fractal shapes appear in the grass spontaneously. All the other places - the mining towns and the refineries, the pits, the meteorite deposits, the caves/hives, the witches' black market, the abandoned foretress in the forst and the weird lab inside it. The Road With The Ghost. This article was so much longer, I guess it's in keeping with the location that stuff vanished
