Remy Stormrider - Quartermaster's Apprentice
DeRemy is a sprightly girl of thirteen, with her mother’s dark curls and her father’s quiet intensity. She has a mischievous glint in her brown eyes and a smile that’s all too ready to break out into laughter. Her small frame belies her strength, and she’s often seen darting up the rigging with the agility of a cat, her feet bare and her hands calloused from hard work. She dresses in a mix of her parents’ styles—a sturdy sailor’s tunic and trousers but with a few colorful beads and charms woven into her clothing, reminiscent of her mother.
Born on the sea, Remy’s earliest memories are of the sea and the salty wind on her face. Her parents tried to keep her away from the rougher parts of ship life, but Remy was always determined to prove herself. From a young age, she insisted on learning everything she could, whether it was tying knots with her mother or assisting her father with repairs. Now officially the ship’s apprentice boatswain, Remy is eager to show the crew that she’s more than just the Boatswains daughter—she’s a sailor in her own right, and she dreams of one day becoming captain herself.
Personality: Remy is adventurous, spirited, and just a little bit stubborn. She has a natural curiosity and a thirst for knowledge that sometimes gets her into trouble, but she’s quick to learn from her mistakes. Her youth and optimism are a breath of fresh air on the often-grizzled Booty Buoy, and her enthusiasm is infectious. She idolizes her parents and strives to live up to their example, but she also has a playful streak, always ready with a witty comeback or a prank to lighten the mood. Though she sometimes struggles with being taken seriously, her determination and quick wit have earned her the respect of many of the crew. She’s fiercely loyal to the Booty Buoy and its crew and dreams of one day leading them on adventures of her own.
