Culture

Voltclaws have a society unlike other dragons Electric dragons are grouped in ranks. Each rank is in order of most supreme to least: Royal rank Platinum rank Gold rank Titanium rank Silver rank Copper rank Dragons are all born in equal but different orders. Each egg is assigned a random order to grow up in, and are assigned a unique number in the colour of their order that is etched on the base of their right hind leg. There are four orders: Green order Orange order Blue order Purple order (Those in the royal family are raised in the Royal rank)

Education

In each order, dragons from all ranks are brought up together and are taught in schools until they reach the age of 12. When they are 7 they don't learn for the whole year and are free to do whatever they like. They each live in a small room and are schooled from sunrise to midday. Afterwards they are free, though they must stay in their assigned order. At age 12 they do a final exam that includes combat and every subject and their combined grade determines what rank they will join: Platinum: 100-90% Gold: 89-80% Titanium: 79-70% Silver: 69-60% Copper: 59-0% When a dragon officially enter a rank they go through a ceremony and gain horn sheaths in the metal they are in they swear loyalty to their queen and army as well. The horn sheaths are permanently attached and have the letter of the rank engraved on them. They are also given a name if they are in the gold rank or above by the queen. The next day they choose a job.
