Queen Sleet raises Scorchie secretly in her walk-in closet because Scorchie would easily escape the crevice and freeze to death and tells her she will be queen after her.

During this, Sleet’s other daughter, Tundra received a random ass rock from her dad, Turmoil. Scorchie gets excited and shit and won’t stop obsessing over being queen. Queen Sear of the fire dragons visits with her daughter Pyre. They get attacked mistakenly on arrival. They then talk to Sleet about a proposed allyship for food and problems such as famine in the fire Kingdom. Ice dragons have huge ice food preserves. Pyre and Tundra become friends. Sleet one day takes Scorchie to meet her dad, Splinter. She pleads with her to choose to live with him because she’s worried she will be caught and killed. Electric dragons are legally required to raise any stray dragonets in their territory. Scorchie refuses and attacks Splinter and vows she will be the next ice queen. After a couple days they realise that Tundra’s dad has gone missing. They throw a search party. This prompts Scorchie to escape and she finds Tundra and tells her she will be queen and not her. Tundra says that she and Sleet could die if she was caught and her great aunt Glacial had to elope to keep from getting killed from her forbidden love. Sleet dreams about her mom, Queen Permafrost II, telling her that Scorchie is extremely dangerous. The next night Scorchie attempts to murder Sleet. Sleet gets terrified and shuts her into a private jail cell. Sleet tells Tundra about Scorchie. A week later, Queen Ash, the prime ruler of Nyrogecia, visits Queen Sleet. She also inspects the palace and finds Scorchie who tells her everything about Sleet and how she wants to be queen after her.
