Fādi Algāb (fa:di alga:b)
Fādi (sometimes written Faadi outside the Shājin) is a field anthropologist working for the Royal Academy of the Sun, the most important university in the Shajīn Kingdom. She is interested in understanding and comparing different ethnicities in the world, especially the Nāqqiād and the countless cultures existing in the Cajenian archipelago through the study of their language and traditions. Her final goal is to find a common denominator to solve the mystery of the origin of the species.

Motivation
Fādi grew and studied in the metropolitan area of Sikkūf, the capital of the Shajīn Kingdom. She has always been in contact with people of different ethnicities and species, especially those more common in the eastern region. Although the majority of the population consists of Yūl’i as herself, the rare Nāqqiād mercenary and all the species present in the Cajenian Archipelago are not missing since the Cajenian League and the kingdom have always been good trade companions.
In this melting pot, crossbreeds are absent. It is common knowledge that Nysian species cannot, for the most part, interbreed, except different races of elves. An open question biology scholars cannot currently solve, is whether the species have a common ancestor, a unique Nysian elvoid being which was the origin for all the modern species, from crustaceans to avians. There are valid arguments and counter-arguments for both sides of the dispute.
Since biology cannot solve this problem, Shajīn anthropologists recently started investigating the matter, thanks to the pioneering work of Wīhi Nandutam, Fādi's teacher. He observed neighbouring people share commonalities in traditions, language and lore.
In this context, Fādi got passionate about species, not from a biological point of view but rather social. She learned growing up that diversity is a strength but observed that differences were mostly superficial. To a careful exam, people shared many similarities. She decided her vocation was sociologically oriented and was determined to uncover the truth about the Nysian species.
Under Wīhi's leadership, she learned all she needed about anthropology but discovered she did not belong to that group of scholars diligently studying boring manuscripts in the university's library. She wanted to be outside, among people, asking questions, observing in first person their ceremonies, taking notes while an elder recounted her their forgotten wisdom. Thus she became a field researcher, always on the go, looking for answers and new questions to ask.
Her final goal is to study similarities and shared lore between far-away people and find enough of them to conclude that all Nysian species descend from the same people.
