Elven Wall

The Elven Wall is cliff face the rises sharply several hundred feet from the eastern plains of the Hesterherre and runs the width of the peninsula, dividing the Hesterherre from the rest of Apenrike. The Wall extends from the Modervand River in the north to the Eaglesrest Mountains in the south, effectively dividing that part of the world between the elvish kingdom of Mariarion at the top of the wall, and the mannish horselord tribes who rule the plains at the base of the Wall. The Wall is impassable to all but the most experienced of climbers except for a narrow strip of land between the base of the cliffs and sea on the northern end of the Wall, and an ancient staircase cut into the rock on the western side of the Mother of Mist Falls, where the Langdrink River tumbles out of the elvish lands and falls to the plains of the Hesterherre.
