Carrie Quattrociocchi

The main antagonist at the Ambush at Commissioner's Hall, Carrie Quattrociocchi was a smart-mouthed assassin with a wicked sense of humour and a Maulden accent similar to that of The Overmere Family. She fought with two daggers: a wicked semi-shortsword laced with poison and a thin needle of a knife enchanted with three charges of Steal Voice that she tended to use for her mage-hunting contracts. She preferred slightly Gothic leather armour, black lace and dark lipstick, smelling vaguely of cocoa and juniper. She had a particular skill in vanishing into a crowd that she used to great effect in the attempted murder of Beulah Garland, but she was ultimately undone by her arrogance.
Carrie took her time taunting and picking away at The Ladies' Hiking Club rather than calling in her brother Yorick Quattrociocchi at once, hoping to fulfil her contract without calling in an unseemly amount of artillery and the attention that Yorick tends to gather. She met her end after stumbling on a ball bearing, which threw off her balance just long enough for Vega Spritzer and Clytemnestra "Fanny" Glitters to fall upon her in sequence, stabbing away repeatedly as her brother made his way too late down the stairs.
She was left unconscious and poisoned as the bulk of the Hiking Club ran from Yorick, but Vega decided it was too dangerous to allow someone with her skills and motivation to live. She seized Carrie's own favourite dagger and drove it through her heart, ordering her spiritual weapon to pierce her throat. She died on 22nd Winterfall, 866WA.

Post-Mortem Interactions

Fanny summoned Carrie to the Hall of Events Non-Canonical in the course of The Assault on Anthur-Ro with a view to interrogating her as to the identity of her employer. Her shade appeared and immediately attempted to drop-kick Vega through the doorway. Finding herself incorporeal and able only to interact with food in that realm, Carrie made efforts to identify and attack with sharp and hard foods to the extent possible, scoring a hit against Spritzer with a thrown butternut squash before being crushed with a flail and resorting to resigned tossing of breakfast pastries at the group.
Maintaining her spirit of independence and wilfulness past the end, she allowed herself to be dragged into an agreement. In exchange for passing along a message to Yorick -- "he should be a shepherd" -- she divulged that she did not know the identity of her ultimate employer but was hired by a Corran military officer. She confirmed that she did not know who General Kuzoh was, and that Thalia Overmere was not involved in the hit.
